Lesson Title
Students will take a virtual tour to the Norton Simon Art Museum. Students will specifically focused on the art collection from Europe - artist of the 19th C. Students will select two works of art and write a biography on the artist or artists. Students will create and share all documents with 2-3 other students in their class as well as their teacher. With the 2-3 students, they as a group will create a presentation of all of their artist and their works and share that.
Objective(s) 1. Students analyze the role and development of the visual arts in past and present cultures throughout the world, noting human diversity as it relates to the visual arts and artists. , 2. Students analyze, assess, and derive meaning from works of art, including their own, according to the elements of art, the principles of design, and aesthetic qualities, 3. Students apply what they learn in the visual arts across subject areas.
