Master Puppeteer Japanese Culture Brochure
Students will create and present a brochure on Japanese culture and feudal Japan to develop understanding for the setting in the novel Master Puppeteer.
Objective(s) 1. Students will review proper use of Internet and technology and follow ethical expectations., 2. Students will conduct Internet based research and gather information to integrate into brochure., 3. Students will utilize a word processing application to create the cultural brochure., 4. Students will utilize presentation software to present their findings and brochures to the class.
NETS:

Technology Tools Internet Research, Word Processing, Publication Software, Presentation Software
Procedures - 1. Review digital citizenship standards with students and discuss proper use of Internet. Students will then use Internet and build a folder for findings and links., 2. Students arrange information into a coherent brochure using word processing and publication software., 3. Students will revise brochures and design a short presentation (8 slides min.) of their findings to share with class., 4. Brochures will be published and presentations given during class.
